Getting Log Analytics

You can download Log Analytics here or using the “Download” button at the top right corner of the page. Make sure you get the proper version of the software for your platform.

The download comes as a ZIP file that you need to unpack into a new folder somewhere where it will live in your system. There is no installer for this software (yet), so the installation is manual for now.

A good option is a subfolder in your home directory. You can name it “analytics” and put all the files from the ZIP archive there.

Once done, proceed to the configuration tutorial.
